Ghee rice is best recipe and its simple preparation and heavenly incomparable . This recipe is not just about mixing ghee in steamed rice but for preparing more delicious steamed rice wherein raw rice grains, nuts and flavoring spices are sautéed in ghee before cooking them in pressure cooker. The use of cardamom, bay leaf, black peppercorns, mace, cloves along with onion, red&green chillies simply makes it stand out from others. Without adding ginger and garlic or coriander leafs.. this rice taste heavenly delicious!

Ingredients
2 cup ponni rice - 6 cup water
If using basmati rice than for 2 cup rice = 3 cup water.
10 cashew nuts
10 raisins
3 tbsp ghee ( QBB - use good quality ghee )
1 star anise
1 bay leaves
6 black peppercorns
3 cardamom pods
Mace strands ( javitri )
3 clove
2 inch cinnamon ( I'm using Sri Lanka Cinnamon)
80gm onion
1 red chilli - 10gm
1 green chili - 10gm
2 tsp salt

Bahan-bahan
2 cawan beras ponni - 6 cawan air
Sekiranya menggunakan beras basmati daripada 2 cawan beras = 3 cawan air.
10 biji gajus
10 biji kismis
3 sudu besar ghee (QBB - gunakan ghee berkualiti )
1 bunga lawang
1 daun salam
6 biji lada hitam
3 biji buah pelaga
Helai mace (javitri)
3 bunga cengkih
2 inci Kayu manis (saya menggunakan kayu manis Sri Lanka)
80gm bawang merah
1 cili merah - 10gm
1 cili hijau - 10gm
2 sudu kecil garam
