Monster Hunter Stories 2: How to Find Nergigante and Rare Dens Rare Dens in Monster Hunter Stories 2 contain eggs that hatch into rare Monsties, one of them being the powerful Nergigante. Monster Hunter Stories 2: How to Find a Nergigante Egg As any Monster Hunter player might expect, Nergigante is an absolute beast. It can essentially carry you until the end of the main story once you get one, including whomping on the final boss. An egg containing a Nergigante can be found towards the last few chapters of the game when you reach Terga Volcano Base. Their eggs seem to only appear in Rare Dens. The best way to forcibly spawn a Rare Den is to fast travel to Terga Volcano Base and head toward the Crystal Depths. You will see plenty of Dens on your way to the Crystal Depths itself, and there will be many Dens within Crystal Depths too. I recommend having a Monstie on you that has stealth abilities, such as a Nargacuga, in order to turn invisible and sneak past all of the enemies so you can focus on finding Dens.
