Here’s our new music video for the song “Online”. In the video you mostly see DJ HOT BITCH either staring at the screen or becoming a screen herself. The screen shows a constant flow of videos with riots and police brutality. There are videos covering protests against incredibly corrupted and fabricated trial of tortured anarchists (the “Network case”) in St.Petersburg, Russia, videos from protests against neoliberal reforms in Santiago, Chile, protests against authoritarian regime in Moscow, Russia, and protests against racism and police violence in Oakland, US. While all these videos are projected on her body, DJ HOT BITCH is singing about online parties, drugs and complicated interpersonal relationships. Our idea was not mere that two dimensions of our life - political and everyday - coexist and interpenetrate each other. We also wanted to show that our politics and our bodies, emotions and the very lives are increasingly digitalized. With this video we express solidarity with all protestors against violence, racism and sexism of global forces of capital and neoconservatives. We also want to document the reality of present political moment, when amids global conservative backlash for so many of us politics became nothing more than alienated stream of news on our body-screens.
