@cynandlulu6 months agoI think you bring up an important topic - where exactly to place blush to enhance your face, but I'm unclear what face shapes look best with that specific placement. Could you give advice on blush placement for different face shapes? Thank you!! ...58

@Hodgkin016 months agoI've had (/been following) advice about keeping blush/contour/highlight on that outer portion before, but this imaginary line is the precision I've been needing 👏🙌 31

@cynthiamartin16316 months agoI use a powder blush and apply where the sun would hit my cheekbones from above. It is quite natural and looks great. 1
@
@LanguidAndBittersweet6 months agoI use this idea as a guideline but bring my blush only (not highlighter; don't bother with contour) in just a smidge no further than my pupils. With my face shape, i don't have much area to work with from the outside corner of my eye to the edge of my ear and I end up looking like Cruella de Vil if I don't come forward a bit with a tiny hint of warmth. ...7
@
@nicoletambasco92106 months agoI do go past it. I’ve got to run it over my cheeks and nose because I’m not fair skinned. Bronze doesn’t look normal on a redhead..we don’t tan..we pink up with the smallest exposure to the sun. So it’s blush where others bronze and more highlighter in the area where people who tan would place blush. Otherwise it looks muddy and obvious makeup. If I use more than 2 eye shadows…it’s bleeds right together and gets muddy no matter how good the primer is ...5

@deniece08216 months agoYes! This is exactly where I apply my blush and contour. I'm 54 and have several friends my age who load up with blush directly on the apples of their cheeks. I don't have the heart to tell them that it just ends up looking like a severe case of Rosacea!🥴 ...3

@MillieMaa6 months agoUGH. This does NOT work for my square, full face. I have to have the blush near the apples of my cheeks or it doesn't work. I have tried blush in the outside area endlessly and it's always horrific. I wish MUAs would understand this. ...6

@MyCleverHandle6 months agoI always keep blush out side the center of my eye, and above the bottom of my nose. Face contour stays pretty much in the same areas. But for nose, hairline, jawline and forehead contour, anything goes!

@euro_babe5 months agoi have an oval long face so i think blush on the apples of my cheeks help round out my face some and is more flattering
@
@Shawnee_Rose6 months agoI'm going to try this, but I think I might be one of the face shapes that isn't affected negatively by going inside that line. I'm very plump in the cheeks (though I am nearly 40), particularly in the inner side of the apples. I think encroaching on them might be the thing that makes me look less like I'm collecting nuts to store for winter, lol. ...

@tovah22766 months agoWayne, when I first learned this technique from you I thought you were crazy because I had always been taught to look and utilize the ‘apples’ of my cheeks as well as the hollow beneath etc etc, all the ‘old’ school stuff you KNOW is wrong and just makes us look older. THIS technique is something I have been utilizing for a few months now and I have changed NOTHING else….I have had MORE COMPLIMENTS on my skin and ‘have you had a ‘touch up’? (Wink wink) inferring Botox or filler-NOPE) as well as “Do you ever look healthy!” Etc etc. So there IS SOMETHING TO THIS you GORGEOUS, BRILLIANT MAN!!!! Keep on bringing it. I am going to be 56 in 5 days (yes, that is a current - 6 or 7 month old- photo) and no, no facelift or filler or Botox (When I became ill I was given a strict NO CHEMICALS as in hair color or filler or Botox and when all my natural Ginger hair that everyone knew me for went down the drain….quite literally…..I was gifted with this Platinum Hair. Yes, that is all G-d. No Schwarzkopf or L’Oreal etc….all G-d) so I had to pour over all your Vids and learn new color schemes and skin care as well as face shape etc because my face shape changed due to weight loss and gain and loss with steroids and Rad etc. It was literally a ‘new’ me ever few months and learning how, why, where a blush or eye liner etc should or should NOT go was a huge learning curve but I could not have found the new and real “ME” without YOU Wayne. Thank you. I appreciate you. Truly. From my heart. I can not imagine what I would look like if I stayed in my old ‘rut’ and did not learn or grow my knowledge to fit the new me. I may be older but I do not have feel or LOOK it! That fact that you cover ALL shapes and sizes and how to contour for this or that, is an absolute GIFT, as are you. ❤ Truly, 🙏🏻 thank you for being caring enough to ensure you cover everything for everyone. ❤ ...2

@prettibaby38055 months agoI ❤your makeup looks and techniques, Wayne, I think you're super talented. But in my case, I'm used to putting blusher on the apples of my cheeks when I'm looking pale. I'm fair with freckles and it looks natural this way. I've never tried blusher on the placement you recommend coz I find it so hard to do it right and still look natural 😢 ...

@carolina._.006 months agoWayne, I hope you're doing well! I'm not! Well, kinda. I am now 48 yrs old, I have used Estee Lauder's Double Wear foundation since the day I got married 23 years ago! BUT now that my skin is older, the foundation no longer looks good on me and I'm devastated! Every line/pore/texture is accentuated x100! I'm thinking the problem is my base. I've always only used moisturizer under my foundation. I'm guessing now I need more products underneath my foundation...? My question is, what steps/products would you recommend I use with the Double Wear. Or is it time for me to move on to a different foundation. I have always loved the finish & coverage of the Double Wear. There's been nothing more amazing than it! Sorry for my rant! Thank you! Love your work! ...1
