This video was made for the Wind Festival for the Arts, brought to Squamish by the Squamish Arts Council. Carver Xwalacktun will be taking us on a 30-minute virtual storytelling journey to share his artwork representing the Serpent story while visiting the West Vancouver Police Station where he has a cedar wall panel of the serpent itself. From there, we will visit the Thunderbird located in Squamish which represents a supernatural entity that overcame the threat of the serpent. The serpent can be seen on the Squamish overpass with its head looping towards Black Tusk. The story-telling session will be wrapped up by visiting the "Spirit of the Mountain" installation designed by Xwalacktun where he shares this piece to signify a strong foundation for future generations to come. Filmed and edited by Ian Dunsmore. Produced by Outdun Productions.
