@Corny13144 years ago For a “tues your own adventure” just because of everything that’s been going on, how about a “top 10 games that talk about mental health” just because it’s becoming a bigger topic even in gaming such as hellblade: senua’s sacrifice ... 42

@Q194844 years ago Top ten but 8?
    My life is a lie

@IceSilent4 years ago I remember one. In a early version of SNK’s King of Fighters 94, you are introduced to the main boss Rugal and his “collection.” His collection consists of fighters he has killed and turned to stone. Prominently featured is a statue of Guile from Capcom’s Street Fighter, a character that looks somewhat like Akuma, and another that looks like Chun li. ... 2

@johanncarlos70624 years ago You forgot the zombie killing achievements between dead rising and left 4 dead. Not only was it a good back and forth, but it had some of my favorite achievement names in gaming.

  • @
@bencarradine9604 years ago Good list Jules.
One from the top of my head. GTA and Driver. GTA3 saw a dig at Driver with a mission called Two Faced Tanner where Claude is sent to kill a snitch. To add more, in the briefing Tanner is described as useless with driving his car and when you see him leave the casino to his car on arrival, he runs with a woman run animation.
Driver returned swipe in Driv3r with all three open world maps containing 10 collectables called Tommy Verchellis, 10 npcs that will attack on site which you have to kill. Along with the name, the npcs are wearing hawaien shirts, a big nod to protagonist Tommy Vercelli from GTA: Vice city. To add further insult the Verchellis also had rubber rings on them despite never being close to water, obviously a swipe at GTA and Tommy Vercellis lack of ability to swim, and drown instantly on jumping into the water

@gtrzmbe93904 years ago These videos are important. As long as YouTube does not delete and or ret con their entire video library, videos like this will serve as preserved gaming history. What if one day, video games no longer exist? Doubtful, but what if? This will be how we'll remember. ...
  • @
@vypergrrl4 years ago Not actually feuds, because I don't think there were responses, but The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing series has a whole bunch of references and jabs. A Half-Life 3 logo on a wall which is commented upon (something to the effect of 'It's from some rebels...' 'Yeah, they're hopeless/still hopeful'), a space marine from Warhammer 40K randomly shows up in this steampunk-esque fantasy, and when you find a prison with some vampyrs in it one of them is a black trenchcoat and sunglass wearing 'daywalker' who tells you about how he was tricked and captured to which your ever snarky companion Katarina will respond "Weren't you locked up for not paying your taxes?" to name just a few. ...

@Jedi_Spartan_384 years ago I'd like to see him say that to Master Chief’s helmet... wouldn't end well. 12
  • @
@Gottaculat4 years ago I remember Sony being so salty that the N64 was superior to the Play Station that they resorted to a commercial where they had real life footage of a N64 being catapulted and having a guy shoot it out of the air with a shotgun. It was probably the lowest point in console war advertising, and a bunch of my friends were so put off by it they switched to the N64. ... 2
  • @
@Thiccjimbobway4 years ago Top 10 but only 8. Doom is apparently third person now, and Nintendo started a feud against one of their own games? 39
  • @
@ericmiller934 years ago I know this was just about games, but the best troll was Sony showing just how easy it was to share a game with someone compared to how convoluted it was on Xbox One at launch. That video is part of gaming history.
  • @
@redsav29834 years ago Quake in the pc was phenomenal. I miss those days where i was happy
  • @
@dusttodust9154 years ago zeros missions may have been despised, but nothing really feels as satisfying as finally beating that damn story segment. except for maybe the flying school.

  • @
@sagacious034 years ago Interesting history of these Easter Eggs. Thanks for uploading!
  • @
@FractalRaver4 years ago Jazz Jackrabbit was freakin awesome. Also ID made Keen, so it’s just making fun of itself, not a feud :) I also really liked the original Siphon Filter, it was a really fun game, very different than MGS but similar timing and sneaking was possible ...
  • @
@epsech4 years ago Dude... Jazz Jackrabbit. Now that game brings back memories. That may be my earliest gaming memory.
  • @
@michaelgoodwin804 years ago I miss True Crime.. If TCNYC wasn't so buggy and filled with glitches, it would be a fantastic game! Needs a remaster now more than ever! Glad I own Sleeping Dogs 1
  • @
@jamalvargas61464 years ago My favorite fued is between capcom and SNK because I'm a huge street fighter fan while having a disdain for king of fighters but samurai shodown is cool they still have that 2
  • @
@receptionblcp64632 years ago Jockstrap was funny as hell! hhahahahaa
  • @
@Daniel-nn8mr3 years ago Dying Light threw further shade at Destiny's promotion of redbull.
In a side quest in Old Town you have to repair a fountain by turning valves and at the end Crane will say "good it's better to drink water than energy drinks." 👉🏻🔥 that is a burn. ...
  • @
@MrFatbuggie4 years ago Idk what it is but the videos be hitting different when Jules is narrating 🤷🔥

@joenesvick70434 years ago I really burst out laughing when I found that dead Assassin in Witcher 2. Do have a bug in Witcher 1 that loads my save file all wrong. Let's say I save in a cave during chapter one, if I get items including quest items and then load in an abandoned home before quitting, loading that home save loads me in the cave. Any item I got since the cave is gone. Others say talent points go missing too, well it's a good thing I have all those unlocked with a mod then. My solution is basically play Chapter one nonstop and hope it doesn't crash. For chapter 2, going to the swamp helps because the swamp is different than the Temple quarter innit. Witcher 2 & Witcher 3 work perfectly. Never had problems like this with Assassin's Creed, but I didn't do those on PC. For the Witcher I wanted to do the whole import/export save thing like I always do with Mass Effect. Witcher 2 & Witcher 3 have controller support, with Witcher 1 I gotta map the keys with big picture mode ... 2
  • @
@Gottaculat4 years ago Duke Nukem Forever was just as good as the old ones, and if you think it wasn't, you're simply wrong.
Doom (2016) is of course WAY better than all previous Doom, Quake, and Duke Nukem games combined. Definitely looking forward to playing Doom Eternal. ...

  • @
@Thesmokeeffect4 years ago The days when me and brother played True Crime. The only thing I took from that game was the song Hollywood by Bizzy Bone and Dance by Snoop Dogg and Marvin Gaye
  • @
@michaelappleseed19934 years ago Another video by our legend, thank you Jules
  • @
@ardorias12074 years ago Geralt's just mad that his legs are made of glass and shatter even from a jump from 1m height 🤷🏻‍♂️ 1

The following is the in game description of the resource material obsidian.
"Legend persists that obsidian weapons are very powerful against certain undead creatures, but serious scholars insist that this was a lie perpetuated by the troubadour Grey Rain Rant Martinous in his well-known Ballad of Flame and Snow." ...
  • @
@FnRenner4 years ago You could make 3 follow up videos just on the 90's Sega v Nintendo console wars. Good times, good times.
  • @
    @coreymartin63634 years ago
"...led ID software to shift their focus to 3rd person shooters..."
Now I'm not an expert like you fine people...I'm just a humble colonist, living in a country younger than some bars (pubes to you) that I've visited in London, but I'm PRETTY sure that the what did (IDdiddIDdidID...) was make FIRST person shooters after Wolf3d, such as Doom, Hexen, Heretic, Quake, etc...and their RETURN to Castle Wolfenstein...man...made my 2001.
The Commander Keen games were good, ok, eh and AWESOME! They REALLY improved things in Keen 4! The graphics got tight with smoother surfaces, better colors and sweet backgrounds. The adventure board was awesome. The music and sfx were a vast improvement. The story was...well...good. The gameplay, however...that pogo stick was so on point...

    @tsstevensts4 years ago 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...um...
Okay. Eight protagonists that would do Doomguy proud. John Spartan, Jill Valentine, the ones that would make the Space Marine give the thumbs up tick of approval.

@justiceforest90954 years ago The best rip on another game has to come in The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion where M'aiq The Liar says that he's "never heard a good fable" in reference to Lionhead Studios Fable/Fable The Lost Chapters
  • @
@DFloyd844 years ago The Commander Keen Easter egg in DOOM 2016 is even more morbid when you realize that the skull is clearly neotenous, i.e. it's a goddamn kid's skull!
